Why I am the right UX Expert for You

I translate technological complexity into experiences that feel right – precise in function, minimalist in design. Whether AR, AI, spatial computing, or classic digital products: my aim is always the same – to use technology in a way that empowers people, not overwhelms them. My extensive experience – gained in corporations, startups, and international projects – enables me to guide complex projects as a consultant from start to finish and to confidently lead stakeholders through every step of the process. As an empathetic team player with analytical thinking and intercultural experience (Extensive experience abroad – I speak fluent German and English and have basic knowledge of Portuguese and Russian), I build trust at all levels – and bring the creative thinking that distinguishes great projects from mediocre ones.

As a trained communication designer from the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany, and the Escola Superior de Artes e Design in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal, with a foundation in Bauhaus principles, "form follows function" is not just a guiding principle for me, but a lived reality. My career path led me from traditional advertising agencies to digital product development early on.

Back in 2012, I developed the app for "Chip" magazine at Hubert Burda Media – at a time when mobile applications were still uncharted territory. The result: over 550,000 installations and a 5-star rating in the app stores.

At Metaio, a pioneer in augmented reality, I was responsible for UX conception and visual design of groundbreaking AR applications for clients such as IKEA, Audi, BMW, Maserati, Bosch, Lufthansa, MediaMarkt, and Airbus.

The innovative power and vision of our work ultimately garnered significant recognition on a global scale: Metaio was acquired by Apple.

In Apple's Special Projects Group in Cupertino, I contributed to over 50 prototypes – exploring the intersection of VR, AR, autonomous technology, and haptic interfaces.

In collaboration with producers, engineers, and developers, I created videos, software, and hardware. My concept drawings and illustrations brought electronic products, usage scenarios, and user interfaces to life. I designed and animated storyboards, keyframes, and sequences for animation and live-action film, enabling the exploration of groundbreaking physical and digital user experiences. Using Unity and Unreal, I developed and implemented high-resolution 3D models, UI and interactive elements, creating immersive and compelling prototypes.

Among many other projects, I played a key role in designing and refining the user experience of the Apple Vision Pro, contributing to its successful market launch.

Back in Germany, I continued my work on pioneering AR applications. I was responsible for UX strategy and cross-platform design of AR apps for smartphones, tablets, and HoloLens. Our clients included Siemens, Evonik, Linde, Vodafone, and Nokia. I designed immersive augmented reality experiences for intuitive and engaging user interactions.

Since 2019, I have worked as a freelance UX/UI designer with a clear goal: to create digital products that are not only easy to use but also feel intuitive. I have completed projects for brands such as Eucerin, Hansaplast, Juvederm, and MG.

In addition to collaborating with established brands, I have also supported startups in translating new ideas into marketable digital products – quickly, with focus and a clear view of the essentials.

For LeanIX (now part of SAP), I optimized the usability of the diagram editor and measurably improved user acceptance and onboarding through UX research.

I have also developed in-depth expertise in designing for and with artificial intelligence. At Aily Labs, I was responsible for the "Research & Development" module within an AI-based business insights platform – with the goal of translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.

I built an interdisciplinary product team and led the development of a version for the Apple Vision Pro – thereby opening up new possibilities in the field of AI and spatial computing.

For the IT consulting firm Westernacher Solutions, I conceived and designed a comprehensive website with a web application. The focus was on communicating the potential of modern AI in an understandable, trustworthy, and clearly structured way – especially for sensitive application areas.

In addition to my client work, I'm involved with non-profit organizations like BrandNewBundestag and the Paritätische Wohlfahrtsverband (Parity Welfare Association), and I participate in and curate art exhibitions – because good design creates social value.

With intuition and vision, I do what most designers can't: I combine deep technical expertise in AR, VR, and metaverse technologies with a keen artistic eye – and thus find surprising solutions where others reach their limits.
